May 2013: Best poster

Edith Roegiers (URBC-NARILIS) was awarded the Best Poster prize at the International Congress "Cancer Cell Death & Resistance", which took place on May 6-7 , 2013, in Toulouse, France.

March 2013: BNS prize for the best thesis

Dr Anne-Catherine Wéra's thesis " Development of an in vitro irradiation station for broad beam experiment: study of A549 non-small cell lung cancer cell response after irradiation with charged particles of different LET" won the BNS prize for Best Thesis.

In order to encourage young people to enter the fascinating world of nuclear science, the BNS organizes a contest for the best final year's thesis of each academic year.

Dr Anne-Catherine Wéra defended her thesis at the University of Namur on 24 August 2013.

February 2013: Post-Doc at the University of Namur &Young talent for Mexico.

Omar Lozano Garcia, NNC, NARILIS.

Omar has just integrated the Young Mexican Talents Network. The Mexican Talent Network Abroad (MTNA) is a global network of Mexican professionals living outside Mexico.

The network is organized by chapters and its mission is the collaboration through projects with Mexican counterparts in order to better insert Mexico into the global economy, particularly the knowledge economy.

The Belgian chapter was established on October 11th 2012, in an event held at the Mexican Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Great Duchy of Luxembourg and mission to the European Union.  (view article)

April 2012 : 3 Young Investigator Awards

For submitted abstracts for the 58th Scientific & Standardization Committee meeting of the International Society on Thrombosis & Haemostasis (Liverpool, June 2012).

Jonathan Douxfils has been awarded 3 Young Investigator Grants for the following abstracts :

- Laboratory recommendations for the monitoring of Dabigatran

- Laboratory recommendations for the monitoring of Rivaroxaban

- Acustar hit-igg and heparin-induced multiple electrode aggregometry : a useful combination for rapid diagnosis of type-II hit.

Namurois de L'Année 2011

Namurois année 2011NARILIS was elected « Namurois de l’Année 2011 – category science » during the ceremony organized by Confluent Magazine.

Prof. Stéphane Lucas, Carine Michiels & Thierry Vander Borght received the prize which rewards “scientists and physicians who took up the challenge of uniting multidisciplinary competences to better understand the body’s functioning in pathological conditions and to improve healthcare quality and policy”.

The ceremony took place at the Governor’s Palace (Namur) on January 24, 2012 and was followed by a reception at the Château of Namur.
