A training on writing, publication strategy & publication ethics
The course is intended for clinician-researchers and scientists (PhD students, post-doc researchers & academics) with the aim to provide guidance on all aspects of writing and submitting papers in the field of life sciences and health research. During this training, Dr. Elisabeth Wager will advise researchers on how to write sucessfull papers and abstracts, and will discuss common writing mistakes. Furthermore, she will also cover topics such as publication guidelines, publication strategy (how to plan a paper, choosing the right journal, understanding the peer review process) and publication ethics. The workshop will be highly interactive and propose many practical exercises.
Trainer

Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Wager is a freelance medical writer, editor and trainer. She worked in the publishing and pharmaceutical industries (for Blackwell Scientific, Janssen Cilag and GlaxoSmithKline) before setting up her own company Sideview, in 2001. She has run workshops on writing, publication strategy and publiction ethics for doctors, scientists, editors and writers on six continents.

Practical information

WHEN?
From Monday 4th till Wednesday 6th of September 2017 from 9:00 to 17:00. Participants must commit to attend every day of the workshop.
LOCATION?
UNamur, NARILIS meeting room, Place du Palais de Justice, Namur
COST?
Free, including coffee and lunch.
LANGUAGE?
The workshop will be given in English.
ACCREDITATION?
A request for accreditation in "Ethics & Economics" will be submitted to the INAMI.
