The Board of BELVIR would like to invite you to submit an abstract for the 11^th Annual BELVIR Symposium. All topics related to virology are welcome.

Abstract review: Acceptance or Rejection - Oral presentation selection

Abstracts submitted on time and fulfilling the format requirements will be reviewed by the Board members. After careful evaluation, abstracts will be either accepted or rejected. Among the accepted abstracts and taking into consideration the importance of thematic diversity, the highest quality submissions will be selected for oral presentation, either as short talk (15' including Q&A) or pitch talk (5', no Q&A). There will be no posters.

You will be notified about the outcome of your submission by November 15 (accepted/rejected - selected/not selected for oral presentation). Note that notification emails will be sent from abstracts@belvir.be. If you do not receive any notification on the status of your submission by November 15, please check your spam folder.

Electronic abstract book with restricted access

All abstracts that are selected for oral presentations will be presented in an electronic abstract book. This abstract book will NOT be publicly available. Access will be restricted to BELVIR Symposium attendees only. In addition, viewing of the abstract book will require a password linked to BELVIR membership. If an abstract submission is accepted, but ultimately not selected for oral presentation, inclusion in the abstract book is optional (see options below). The abstract book will not distinguish between selected and non-selected abstracts.

Abstract submission

The deadline for abstract submission has been extended until Monday October 9 midnight. Please complete the form below and upload your abstract in Microsoft Word format (no PDF !). The length should not exceed one page. The abstract must include the following information:

Title
Authors names and affiliations
Abstract text

Use single line spacing, Calibri, font size 11 pt, title in bold and centered, presenting author underlined, affiliations in italic, abstract text justified.
