Laboratory for Translational Research

CHU UCL Namur

Located at the CHU UCL Namur (site Godinne), the Laboratory for Translational Research is a technical and intellectual platform supporting clinician-researchers engaged in biomedical research projects and doctoral theses. The facility has been equipped thanks to the support of the Fondation Mont-Godinne. It includes a cell culture room and a room dedicated to non-sterile activities. Adjacent to the Biobank of the CHU UCL Namur, the laboratory is the ideal place to design and conduct research experiments using human biological materials.

Another objective of the laboratory is to further develop collaborations with academic and industrial partners, and in the frame of NARILIS, to welcome researchers from the UNamur. The structure is indeed open to host UNamur master students and PhD students. This research laboratory in the heart of a clinical environment has obvious benefits for our basic research scientists. In addition to being able to rely on the clinical expertise of hospital clinicians, basic researchers will have hands-on access to human samples and have the opportunity to handle these on-site.
