Expertise and research interests
Liesbeth Daniëls holds a master's degree in Pharmaceutical sciences from the KU Leuven, a complementary interuniversity master in Industrial Pharmacy and an advanced master in Clinical biology from the UAntwerpen.
She is HLA Lab Director (Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Laboratory) at the CHU UCL Namur since October 2021.
Her research interests include histocompatibility and immunogentics in solid organ transplantation, haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, transfusion, HLA associated diseases and pregnancy.
Research projects
- Evaluation of the clinical utility of non-invasive biomarkers in the context of clinical outcome of lung transplantation. In collaboration with KU Leuven (Prof. Dr. Robin Vos, Prof. Dr. Bart Vanaudenaerde, Dr. Hanne Beeckmans).
