Expertise and research interests

Nicolas Burton is Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, graduated in July 2017. His thesis, entitled "Study of asthma in a murine model: consequences of the deletion of RABGef1 within Club cells" was awarded the Scientific Staff Prize of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the ULiège.

From 2017 to 2021, he worked as a teaching assistant at the UNamur Department of Veterinary Medicine and participated in a research project on foot-and-mouth disease.

In 2020, Nicolas Burton was involved in the crisis management of the Covid-19 pandemic, as coordinator of a diagnostic laboratory at UNamur.

He also practiced as a veterinary doctor for small animals and small ruminants for several years.

Since May 2023, Nicolas Burton joined the CHU UCL Namur as Head of Sector and Quality Manager.
