« Le 16/20 de la recherche clinique »: A successful first afterwork dedicated to clinical research

On October 15, 2025, NARILIS, the CHU UCL Namur and the UNamur organized a unique afterwork event dedicated to clinical research. Researchers and clinician-researchers came together to exchange ideas, share experiences and discover exciting projects in a stimulating and collaborative atmosphere. This initiative was launched by Marie de Saint-Hubert, Academic director at CHU UCL Namur, and Charlotte Beaudart, Professor in Clinical Research at UNamur.

The programme featured insightful presentations by

  • Delphine Bourmorck (Henallux) – Role of emergency departments in palliative care
  • Fabienne George (CHU UCL Namur) – Optimizing biobanks use for biomedical research
  • Mélanie Lefebvre (CHU UCL Namur) – AI for empowering people with diabetes
  • Emma Calluy (UNamur) – Blood biomarkers in dementia
  • Jonathan Douxfils (UNamur) – Thrombosis risk associated with hormone therapies
  • Alexandre Goussens (CHU UCL Namur) – Biofabrication of oesophageal grafts
  • Eric Mormont (CHU UCL Namur) – Suicide among patients with dementia

In addition, twelve researchers showcased their work through poster presentations: Céline Decouvreur (UCLouvain), Agnès Dekeyser (UCLouvain), Virginie Doyen (CHU UCL Namur), Benjamin Hanotieau (UNamur), Marc Hennequart (UNamur), Kaoutar Idouz (UNamur), Laurie Marchal (UNamur), Céline Maschietto (CHU UCL Namur), Margaux Mignolet (UNamur), Guillaume Pierman (CHU UCL Namur), Lucie Raskin (UNamur) and Sophie Van Heden (UNamur).
