NARILIS call for interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects - 3 proposals selected!

A call for interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects was launched by NARILIS in January 2018. From the 10 applications submitted, 3 project proposals have been selected for funding:

Role of viral infections in APOBEC3-induced cancers - when high-throughput direct sequencing promotes both fundamental and clinical research
Research area: CANCER & INFECTIOLOGY

Development of colloidal biosensor for in vitro medical diagnosis
Research area: NANOTECHNOLOGY
Partners: Prof. Jean-Michel Dogne (UNamur, Pharmacy department), Prof. Stéphane Lucas (UNamur, Physics department, PMR-LARN) & Prof. François Mullier (CHU UCL Namur, Clinical biology)
The prevalence and the resistance mechanisms of colistin-resistant E. coli (COLREC) at the human-livestock interface in an One Health approach
Research area: INFECTIOLOGY & ONE HEALTH
Partners: Prof. Benoît Muylkens (UNamur, URVI, Molecular bacteriology & virology), Prof. Catherine Linard (UNamur, Geography department, Spatial epidemiology), Prof. Youri Glupczynski - Prof. Te-Din Daniel Huang - Dr. Pierre Bogaerts (CHU UCL Namur, Clinical microbiology) & Dr. Marc Saulmont (ARSIA)

 

A grant of 50.000 euros will be offered by NARILIS to each of these three selected projects over a period of one year.
