The success of NISM and NARILIS multidisciplinary research showcased to the Minister Pierre-Yves Jeholet

On March 24, Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister of Economy, Industry, Research, Innovation, New technologies, Employment and Training of the Walloon Government, honored us with a visit to the UNamur.

This visit focused on the multidisciplinary nature of the research projects conducted within the Namur Institute of Structured Matter (NISM) and NARILIS institutes.

The Minister visited the SIAM technological platform (Synthesis, Irradiation & Analysis of Materials) and learned more about the research activities of Prof. Stéphane Lucas, valorized within the new spin-off company "Innovative Coating Solutions". In addition, the Minister found out more about the research projects led by Prof. Jean-Michel Dogné, such as the transnational research program NanoGeCo and the spin-off Qualiblood, born from the Namur Thrombosis and Hemostasis Center (NTHC).
It was the opportunity to point out again that the Service Public de Wallonie plays a leading role for the funding of research and the valorization of know-how and research results through the creation of university spin-offs.
