Expertise and research interests
Prof. Grégoire Wieërs is a doctor in medicine, specialist in general internal medicine, and works as a clinician at the Clinique Saint-Pierre d'Ottignies. He holds a PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the UCLouvain. He conducted his doctoral research at the de Duve institute, under the guidance of Prof. Pierre van der Bruggen, in the field of immunity and cancer.

- Functions of human tumor infiltrating lymphocytes are boosted after ex vivo treatment with two galectin-binding polysaccharides used as investigational human drugs. PhD thesis defended by Grégoire Wieërs on 03/11/2021. Under the supervision of Prof. Pierre van der Bruggen, UCLouvain, de Duve Institute.
